Living in Bonnevoie: Luxembourg's Multicultural Neighbourhood by the Station

Bonnevoie sits just south of the central train station, which immediately makes it one of the most convenient districts in the city for anyone commuting by rail, tram or bus — and for anyone who travels regularly, since the station connects directly to the airport shuttle and international lines.

It's also one of Luxembourg City's most multicultural neighbourhoods, with a strong Portuguese community alongside residents from across Europe and beyond, reflected in the local bakeries, cafés and shops along its main streets.

Compared with Belair or Limpertsberg, Bonnevoie is more urban and less manicured, but that comes with a genuine upside: it's noticeably more affordable while still being a short walk from the centre.

For professionals who travel often or simply want to minimise commute time without paying a premium for it, Bonnevoie is consistently one of our most recommended districts.
